Oliver Keh, director of Goyohan Soul and Roast and Roll at Marina Bay Link Mall, embodies resilience and compassion in the face of adversity. Having battled and overcome cancer, Keh is now leveraging his experience to give back to the community through philanthropic endeavors.

Despite facing an advanced stage of an exceedingly rare cancer at just 16, Keh’s determination to persevere was unwavering. His oncologist, Dr. Anand Jeyasekharan, describes the incidence of Keh’s type of cancer as “less than one in a million people, in any given population.” The typical survival prognosis for aggressive inflammatory myofibroblastic tumours (IMT) ranges from one to two years after diagnosis. Although Mr. Keh has beaten the odds for survival, six years of treatment did not halt the march of the disease, as new tumours grew.

Through years of treatment and juggling work and studies, he emerged stronger, graduating from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2023.

Now, Keh is not only expanding his family’s businesses but also making a meaningful impact on society. On February 17th, 2024, he will host a charity dinner in collaboration with CHENG SAN – SELETAR CCC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE FUND, providing a heart-warming experience for 80 underprivileged individuals.

“My journey with cancer taught me the true value of community and support,” shares Keh. “This charity dinner is an opportunity for us to share our good fortune and bring joy to those who need it most.”
